Beth Burnett
author : Beth BurnettBeth Burnett may not like to wear pants, but she wears an awful lot of hats. The Director of Education for GCLS, Beth also teaches for the writing academy, gives women’s empowerment workshops, runs a Lansing women’s networking group, teaches as an adjunct professor for Southern New Hampshire University and Johnston Community College. Because she enjoys torture, Beth returned to grad school for her second Masters, this time in Marketing and New Media. In addition to her penchant for education, both as a teacher and a student, Beth is a writer with six published books and stories in several recent anthologies. Her self-published novel, Coyote Ate the Stars won first place in the fantasy category of the Writer's Digest Self Published Book Awards. She has also won two Rainbow Awards, but her claim to fame is writing all her books with a twenty-pound cat on her forearms. In her spare time, Beth sleeps in thirteen-minute increments, walks her geriatric dog, and has video cooking dates with her long-distance wife. View more >>
